Episode 79 - Kwanchai Moriya Artist Extraordinaire

May 9, 2018 Jack Eddy
kwanchai moriya jubilee.jpg

If I could have all games illustrated by only 5 artists, I know for fact that Kwanchai Moriya would be the first one on that list. His illustrations incorporate wild, diverse styles with tons of personality, reflecting the very core nature of the game itself. So it should come as no surprise, I was a little starstruck in this one. We talk about how he got his big break, challenges, accomplishments, and all the rad stuff he has right around the corner.

Episode 71 - Alex & Mike of What The Film?! & Lethal Chicken Games

what the film.jpg

We do a quick turnaround, recording an episode on Tuesday and posting on Wednesday with Alex Mackey & Mike Szalajko of What The Film?! which is up on kickstarter right now. This was particularly interesting to me, not only because of their extremely well produced  kickstarter video, but because I don't typically talk to people about party games. So we talk about just that - why party games?

When La Granja came out, it blew my mind. Fast forward to Dice Tower Con in 2017 and I'm checking out the beautifully distilled dice version, No Siesta, and I'm in love. But it turns out that Ode. and I have a lot more in common than just a love for euro games, and we cover everything from playing in Hardcore Bands to defining characteristics of different types of Euro Games in this wonderful interview.
